AI and large language models are on a rise, this gives more opportunity to use such tools in digital applications. This can be implemented in online service and in healthcare. Using chatbots in healthcare can provide patients with a more direct and a 24/7 link to information and their doctors. Such applications are already being used, but not yet in the context of a Sleepdiary. These diaries provide a set of questions that help people with sleep deprivation keep track of their sleep habits and can communicate this straight to their doctors. An important factor in a doctor-patient relationship is the emotional bond, empathy plays a big role in this. For this reason two Sleepdiary chatbots are introduced, one empathic (El) and one non-empathic (Noah). These chatbots are tested and the data collected will be reviewed with a mixed 2x2 Anova model. Statistical significant evidence can be given if the chatbots are perceived empathic after a good or bad night of sleep and if the participants are willing to use the chatbots again after a good or bad night of sleep with the usage of such a model.
